Advanced Skin Brightening Peel

Pigmentation occurs because of various reasons. They include genetics, race, excessive sun exposure, pregnancy, and the use of oral contraceptives or even menopause. The Advanced Skin Brightening Peel is effective for all types of Melasma, PIH (Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation), pigmentation that has not lightened with Hydroquinone products or chemical peels and pigmentation caused due to sun exposure or acne breakouts.

What is the Advanced Skin Brightening Peel?

The Advanced Skin Brightening Peel is a result-oriented treatment for melasma and stubborn pigmentation conducted under strict medical guidelines by our expert Associate Doctors. This system comprises of a skin regime that will help to diminish unwanted pigmentation in the skin due to melasma, Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH) and sun exposure.

What does the peel contain?

The peel contains Kojic Acid, Phytic Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Arbutine, Titanium Dioxide and Retinyl Palmitate

How does it work?

The treatment affects the melanogenesis process and has a direct effect on the intimate formation process of the pigment.  It is based on the inhibition of tyrosinase, an essential enzyme involved in the formation of pigment.

What does the treatment involve?

Your doctor will assess your skin to understand your skin and the type of scarring you have.  This allows us to set an appropriate protocol for you. The doctor will apply the peel onto your face. After allowing it adequate time to dry, you will be sent home with instructions about when and how to wash the peel off. Your doctor will also hand over to you the maintenance cream and instruct you in post application care.

How often will I need to repeat the treatment?

For very stubborn pigmentation, we recommend you visit us again 4-6 weeks after your first sitting. But even with just one sitting, you will see the pigmentation has significantly faded. Based on the degree of improvement your skin is showing, your doctor will be able to suggest the best way forward. For an overall improvement in skin tone we recommend clients repeat the peel every 12-15 months.

What kind of results can I expect?

Unfortunately once the melanocytes have been damaged, they can never be repaired completely. Therefore it is important to understand that it is possible for clinical treatments to significantly lighten pigmentation. However there is no treatment available in the market to completely eradicate existing pigmentation. Apart from addressing this issue, your skin will have a gorgeous glow, with smaller pores, diminished fine lines and a brighter complexion.
